Covid -19 Updates – 3rd November 2020

National Restrictions – England is now in a nationwide 4 week lockdown which unfortunately means no training or matches can take place. We are extremely dissapointed in the decision to stop all activity as we beleive as a club we did everything possible to ensure the safety of all our members and the wider community. However, we will fully support the rules and guidance put in place and we expect all our members to also follow the 4 week lockdown rules.

Please remember all our committe and coaches are available over the phone for advice or even just a chat, it is our top priority to ensure all our members, young and old stay positive during this period and the club are here to support that in any way we can.

Stay safe everyone and thanks for your continued support.

General COVID-19 Procedures

NHS Track & Trace – The major change in the latest guidance is the need for all clubs to use the NHS contact tracing service at all training locations. Each site we operate from has an individual QR code that must be scanned by all attendees as they enter the site. The QR codes will be located at the entrance to each venue, team managers will also have the QR code available to scan. We have also published the QR Codes on this page for when kids are dropped off before the printed code is visible on site.

The NHS have produced an app which is available to download here, we advise all our members to download this and use it to scan the QR code – NHS Contact Tracing App. We have tested all of our QR codes on the app.

Returning from Abroad – There are quarantine restrictions currently in place that require anyone returing from holidays in specific countries to self isolate at home. This means you cannot attend any football training for the stipulated time issued by the UK Government.  Full details can be found here – Latest UK Government travel advice

Local Restrictions – As you are aware in Greater Manchester (Tier 3) there are now additional rules in place in regards to households and numbers of people allowed to meet up. The FA have clarified that despite the local rules the guidance issued on the 17th September is still valid to all grassroots football.

The club committee have processed all the new guidance and considered the local restrictions and we can safely accomodate the changes. The new Risk Assessment is available to read below.

Consent Form – The club still require all parents & carers to sign a consent form to allow their child to take part in traning sessions where contact is likely to occur. The form is on this page and you only need to complete this once.

The consent form requires the childs name, team, name of parent or carer and their relationship to the child. When ticking to box you are confirming 2 things:

  1. You have read, understood and will follow the latest guidance issued by the club and FA. (links below)
  2. You are providing consent for your child to take part in training and matches where close contact is possible.

It is important to remember the club are putting no pressure on any child to return to training/matches unless they or their parents/carers are comfortable with doing so. We fully understand individual situations may be different and we will accomodate any existing members situation.

If you have any queries or concerns at any stage please do not hesitate to contact your team manager or Nigel Peacock (Club Welfare Officer –

Please continue to stay safe.
